Asamiya is a keen action fan and Silent Mobius has that in spades! Cops, paranormal entities and one of the most complete universes in his repetoire, this series shouldn't be overlooked.
Nice overview, Masako. I'm surprised you haven't mentioned Kia Asamiya's earlier work, like Gunhed (which was made into a live action movie in Japan!). Granted, Nadesico is successful, but Silent Mobius, I would argue, is his more significant work to the industry as a whole, and has had a greater cultural impact.
