We all hark back to our childhood; where times were simpler and memories are treasured. Are these cherished moments deserved or were rose-tinted specs the order of the day?
I have to respectfully disagree on keeping nostalgia in the memory and whatnot. For instance; with Linkara's recent "History of the Power Rangers" videos, I've revisited the old Power Rangers and even Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (The Corny 90s series, complete with "COWABUNGAAAAAAA"s) and While yes, TMNT is Nowhere NEAR what I remember it as, I'm also smart enough to see what I liked about it as a kid, and love the show for what it did for me as a kid despite it being terrible at the age of 20. Thankfully, it's not the same story with PR. I've actually come to like PR a bit more in my older age than I did as a kid, oddly enough.
I suppose it really depends on the kind of person you are. If you're the type of person who over-analyzes things, then it might be best to leave some of the things you remember in the past. But if you're like me, and still a 7 year old kid at heart, then I say that you should by all means revisit TV shows and video games from your past. Then again, I also say that everyone should be a kid at heart. It keeps you feeling happy and young! :D
Great Video, but that's just my two cents on the subject of leaving Nostalgia in the past.
I might disagree on the races, thoe i did play both sega rally and daytona on arcades and on sega saturn, and theo i tihnk segarally was the better of the 2 it did set a standard to me how a rally car shuld behave on games, shure its not totaly realsitic but tis actually more belivable then GT4 is when cornering a 4wd in dirty as there in modern games the cars feels strange and dosent act as one expect, and revisiting sega rally i still like it, but i tihnk this is allso the levle of taste one develops ower time.
On nostalgia in general some things one may not like but some things may becoem even better, for instacne i loved as a kid was "robocop"... yes i saw that movie asa kid, and se it again now as adult i realsied this movie had allot more then mindless action as i remember as there is a message there asa adult i understod.

I was just thinking of Sonic R when you mentioned music. I still play Sonic R myself! Such an awesome game
